This is an excellent one season (Summer) bag. However, this bag is really for Summer only. I see in Varusteleka's description that the bag is supposedly good down to about 10C/50F, but I would say that there is *no* way this bag is that warm. This bag might get you down to about 15C/60F depending on what you're wearing, how much insulation your sleeping pad provides, and how well sheltered you are from wind, but 15C/60F is about as low as you can reasonably expect to go. Really, the comfort range is probably down to about 18C/65F. Adding a woobie inside would probably add at least 2.5C/5F degrees of warmth, probably more. Even a cotton liner would add at least 1C/2F degrees of warmth. The bag I received was in good (but not excellent) condition and weighed 966 g (2.1 lbs). All ties inside (for attaching either a sleeping bag liner or a woobie) were intact. The zipper was in good working condition. The drawstrings on the hood work well. The head area was a bit stained probably from someone allowing their hair to directly contact the bag's material. I tried some spot cleaning, but the stain didn't really come out. Still, it's more than good enough, and I always sleep with a beanie on, so my hair doesn't directly touch the bag. The bag compacts down pretty well when using the appropriate compression sack. My bag came with a compression sack, but I don't know that all of them do. The inside lining of the bag is a bit coarse, but that's pretty standard on hot weather bags so that your sweaty skin doesn't adhere to the bag. I typically wear silk long johns or something similar inside my bag so that my skin doesn't directly contact the bag, which keeps the bag a lot cleaner, so the coarseness of the bag doesn't bother me. Even with bare skin, the lining is not so coarse that I would expect it to cause any sleep disturbance. I merely mention this coarseness since many bags have a softer, silkier lining. A liner would accomplish the same purpose as long johns, but I find silk long johns more versatile inasmuch as they can be worn both inside and outside the bag. In addition, when wearing a long john set, one can fully unzip the bag and yet still have at least something between oneself and the elements so that drafts don't directly touch the skin, which might wake one up at night.

Excellent condition! I very much doubt it was used at all. For the price, I should've bought two instead of that goofy Italian bag. Furthermore, the kind folks at Varusteleka threw in a perfectly new cotton liner (from some other kit. It's pink). I don't know if it's because they like me, or they had too many lying around and had to dispose of them somehow, or the warehouse dude simply made a mistake and someone else is still waiting for their pink liner. Either way it makes me happy to own both items. I'm from Merica! and we have massive surplus army stores here, but I still buy first and foremost from Varusteleka. Thanks.
