Look! Here's an example of a coverall done right. When you need a garment that must not snag on anything but has to provide an acrobatic scale of freedom of movement, and also has to be robust, you'd probably get something like this German tanker coverall. Possibly a one-off lot.

Made of the same fabric as the Bundeswehr Flecktarn camouflaged parka and field trousers, this coverall is a natural extension of the BW lineup meant for armoured vehicle crewmen; when you spend your life in cramped space, snag-free clothing is a must. Hell, who knows if some of these would have been used by the KSK too...

Features

• Unlined camouflaged coverall
• A two-way zipper on the front
• Draw cord adjustment on the waist, along with hook-n-loop tabs
• Hook-n-loop adjustments on the sleeve cuffs
• Chest pockets, front pockets and leg pockets, all closed with zippers to keep stuff in even if the user would be dragged behind a Leopard
• A small pocket on the inside
• The buttons on the front are probably meant for an old timey military flashlight
• Zippered leg cuffs to facilitate donning and doffing with boots on
• Ventilation holes in the armpits and crotch
• An evacuation handle inside the coverall, which can be pulled out from the hook-n-loop slit in the upper back - an essential feature when you have to pull a wounded guy out from a flaming vehicle.

Materials and care

Made usually of 80/20 % cotton/polyester blend, but can be something else too, probably depends on the year of manufacture. Easily washed in 40 degrees Celsius. The fabric is a great compromise for all-purpose wear, being strong and wind resistant but still quite breathable. It can also be treated with wax or suspicious spray-on solutions for waterproofness.

Size info

Sizes in the regular Bundeswehr system, with sizes in the brackets (user's recommended height/chest). If you are between sizes, round up.

As said, these are unlined. However, it's cut large enough to house a separate liner under it (which we unfortunately don't stock at the time of writing). So, by picking your recommended size you'll have room for warm stuff underneath.

Used German surplus

In used but serviceable condition. Of course, being used, the colors might be a bit faded and there might be some repairs, but all in all, these are all way better than just usable.
