Interested in wicked cool cargo pants with proper knee reinforcements? Maybe worn by Dutch super navy commandos or possibly even the riot police. A one-off batch, quite nicely used, and the price doesn’t fling you into the depths of horror either.

Truth be told, we aren’t really sure who these pants used or why. The supplier’s strong hunch pointed in the direction of the navy. However, what sort of folks used these there is pure guesswork. One strong candidate is also the riot police.

Features

These are pretty much fairly normal cargo pants with some exciting details that make them a bit more special. They come with belt loops and a zippered fly. Two side pockets, two hook and loop cargo pockets and back pockets. The knees have pretty heavy-duty black reinforcements, so you can crawl on all fours without wearing the knees out instantly.

There is an elastic drawcord at the cuffs. This way you can prevent the pant legs from flapping wildly on the stormy seven seas of the world. You can also use them to turn these into very unique golf breeches.

Materials and care

The fabric is 50% Kermel® and 50% viscose. Kermel does sound a bit like an Italian power metal band but it is actually a polyamide-imide that doesn’t burn very easily and is very heat-resistant. It is usually used on clothing that protects against heat and flames. The story doesn’t tell why it is used on these pants though. In any case, we cannot give you any guarantees that surplus pants are flameproof. So, don’t set yourself on fire, it isn’t fun in these pants either. Wash at 40 degrees Celsius (104 F).

These are in normal Euro sizes.

Condition

Used Dutch military surplus. Some have been used a bit more, some a bit less. For, example the knee reinforcements might have some signs of use. These pants are all still fully intact and completely serviceable.
