JNA steel helmet, surplus

A great helmet at a great price, the liner is super-adjustable, just like the US M1 steel pot, and equally comfortable when adjusted correctly. For airsoft or paintball Milsim people, I bought a very good repro of a WWII WfSS helmet cover, size 1 (tiny) from At The Front in the US ages ago -- it was on clearance because it was so small and fits next to nothing. It fits this helmet like a glove and it looks *great*! Put a size 1 or 2 WfSS cover or any drawstring cloth helmet cover (i.e. Heer, Luftwaffe) on it, maybe some net and scrim, and it will do just fine for WWII German if your goal is to look authentic at ten feet *and* give your head good protection. And you cannot beat the price.

A piece of history for an incredible price. This is my 4th JNA helmet that I order from varusteleka, I love it so much! Each one comes with a different story, branding, logos and liners a little different! The liners are easy to adjust and to have tried the helmet in real condition (Training for 72 hours, gas mask, shooting etc...) this one has nothing to envy to the Canadian CG634 or the American PASGT. It is damn comfortable, although a little heavy on the neck. Plus you can't comfortably lean your head on a tree or something. Even with a C4 gas mask, this one is comfortable (if you call it a comfortable gas mask) but the chin strap won't fit. If you walk in the forest with through the branches you will feel a bit like a church bell on a Sunday morning! In short, whether you are a history buff or a guy preparing for World War III and looking for a good helmet, I highly recommend it.
