Affordable, simple, and lightweight black gaiters. A copy of the BW gaiters. Use these with army or hiking boots to keep the snow away from the boots and to protect the lower legs of the pants.
These feature the standard zipper closure with a velcro storm flap on top to keep the moisture from creeping in through the zipper. Drawstring adjustment at the top fastens the gaiters in place above the calves. A metal hook at the bottom is used to fixate the gaiters to the footwear, plus there's a string for looping them underneath the sole.
One size fits most; the height is 42 cm (16.5"). The outer material is 100% polyester, and the lining is 100% polyurethane. Manufactured by the German company Max Fuchs. The manufacturing country isn’t given but most likely somewhere in Asia.
There are two uses for gaiters nowadays. They keep the snow away from your boots in winter when wading through semi-deep and deep snow. In many ways, they are much more practical than knee-height boots. Furthermore, they protect the pant legs from wet undergrowth and wear.
