This frame is essentially simply a downscaled version of the Jääkäri L frame, which was originally designed for the Finnish Border Guard patrol pack back in the late 1980s - tried and tested stuff! Made in Karstula, Finland, as all Savotta pack frames.

I use it additionally with the plastic plate, it is a perfect fit. I would recommend to buy it the instant you buy the Jääkäri M, it is a major upgrade to it. Should be standard.

I couldn’t get the velcro to close PERFECTLY with the plastic plate now JUST a bit to tall in combo with the frame. It only hurt my pursuit of perfection. A few minutes removing s little stock and its ready for camping under the chaos of the Milky Way.
