Product description

Integrated Low Profile System - an extremely low profile hydration bladder designed for integration with body armor, works equally well inside a rucksack too naturally. Comes with the UTA-adapter, a handy little device with which you can fill the reservoir without digging it out of your backpack or vest.

  • Widepac opening - the whole top of the bladder opens up for filling and maintenance.
  • No screw-on cap, one less possible leak to worry about and makes for a much flatter profile. Leaving out the cap is a simple yet clever choice, after all with the widepac opening you really don't need it for anything!
  • A vertical divider keeps the water level balanced, keeping the bladder from bulging.
  • Storm valve
  • QMT - Quick Mate Technology - the tube and valves are quickly detachable and interchangeable even with a full bladder without fear of spilling the water.
  • The "Glass Like" bladder material and "Grunge Guard" treatment makes the life of harmful bacteria, algae and fungi difficult, effectively keeping the bladder cleaner for longer. It is still recommended to clean it periodically, but it needs far less care than most hydration bladders. This makes it ideal for combat situations where cleaning is not always possible.

The best bladders on the market. If for nothing else than the coating, the description does not do justice to exactly how good it is. There are better things in life to spend time on than trying to get the last bit of scuzz out of the corner of a hydration bladder or having water that tastes funny after a few hours, not to mention days/weeks. With source packs, you rinse the bladder, hang it to dry and then use it again. No scrubbing needed unless you put sports drinks in it. They also stand abuse a better than other bladders in my experience as long as you don't overfill. Things that are good to know: 1. The hoses are pretty stiff and long. You can cut them to size, but it's a bit of a hassle and needs to be done properly or not at all. I use a scalpel, a tiny bit of of superglue-gel for reattaching the fabric cover to the hose and plenty of patience. If you have trouble getting the connector back in the hose, it can help to dip the end of the hose in warm water. 2. Pay attention to the port orientation and sizing depending on your application. The product pictures can be a bit deceptive without a side by side comparison. 3. Get the UTA for filling "in the field" and for general ease of use or be prepared to spend time improving your swearing. Screw caps are decent for filling but suck in every other conceivable way. (Opinionated? Who, me?) 4. I you position the hose so that the valve sits "above" the port in the bladder, it won't spray when open unless you compress the bladder by flexing against the backpack or vest. I find this a feature rather than bug, at least when stationary. Bite valves are nicer in that you don't have to remember closing them and putting the cover back on. The storm valve excels in nasty weather and or when splattered with seagull shit or some other variety of Mil-Spec seasoning.

Great bladders. Only ever had one fail on me and start leaking at the seam where the tube attaches, and I was amazed it didn't burst outright instead. Was inside a rucksack that got run over by a humvee.
