Some also use these as backup sights for rifles, in case the optics fail.

Features

This rifle sight set is intended primarily for AR-type rifles that have at least 21 inches / 53 cm of continuous Picatinny rail – or Picatinny rail segments spaced at this distance. The sights are mounted on the rail in the same plane.

This Ultradyne sight set features a circle-to-circle sight picture, meaning you aim through the holes in both the rear sight and front post. It’s reminiscent of a more refined diopter system but is a hundred times more field-ready. This way, you can focus directly on the target instead of aligning a blurry post with the bottom of the target or some other similar method.

The ballistic adjustments (BDC) of the rear sight are based on the 5.56x45 M193 cartridge, according to the manufacturer – but despite our research, there is no information on specific barrel lengths, muzzle velocities, rifling twists, etc. The truth about your own ammunition or load will be revealed in your own tests!

Manufacturer's Installation Instructions

Here is one way to install the sights on your rifle.

• Ensure that the Picatinny rail is aligned with the barrel. Attach the sights and tighten the screws to a torque of 1.4-1.7 Nm (12-15 inch-lb).
• Set the adjustment screw on the rear sight to the "2" position. Adjust the windage on both the front and rear sights to the center if they are not already.
• Go to the shooting range and fire sight-in shots at 25 yards on a target. Adjust the point of impact using only the front sight so that it is 3.6 cm (1.4") below the point of aim at 25 yards.
• Note: Adjust the elevation of the front sight by pressing the sight down and rotating the post in quarter-turn increments. You don't need tools or force.
• Your rifle should now be sighted in to hit the point of aim at 50 and 200 yards using the aforementioned M193 cartridge. However, verify the impact at these and other distance settings.

You can, of course, skip these instructions, zero your rifle, and use the sights in whatever way you prefer.
