Super heavy-duty US transport bag for hauling ammo and other heavy stuff. These were used during WWII and probably later, too. You can also use it to carry a lot of beer from the store. Or turn it into a manly kettlebell substitute. Fill it with cartridges and start pumping lead and brass. If the enemy sneaks up on you, you won’t run out of ammo immediately.
On the side, there’s the text "Transport Bag", indicating that it is indeed a bag meant for moving stuff from A to B. These are made from super thick cotton canvas, and the heavy-duty stitching is so robust that it must be made by a cave troll tailor. There is a carry handle on both sides of the bag, and the handle straps continue around the bottom of the bag, reinforcing the construction even further. There’s a buckled strap along the top edge that you can use to close this… somehow, maybe. It is a bit special.
At first glance, the handle positioning might appear slightly fukduppish, but there is a logical reason for that. The idea is that two soldiers can carry the bag together, so you don’t get a hernia in the middle of an artillery strike. The outer measurements are 45 x 72 cm (17.7" x 28.3"), and the weight when empty c. 1,3 kg (2.9 lbs).
Used US military surplus These are in very good condition for being decades old. Of course there are signs of use on these, such as grease stains, dirt, and worn edges, but it is very difficult to render these unusable. They do smell of oil & grease like all old manly things tend to do.
