Here’s a bloody awesome magazine pouch for all 9 mm double-stack magazines. You can adjust it for differently-sized mags or use it to carry a small flashlight or a multitool.
The flap is held in place with Velcro, so you can adjust the height freely depending on the magazine size. Because the flap is detachable, you can also turn this into an open-top pouch.
There is a detachable plastic insert inside the pouch, which will hug the magazine tightly like a Russian heavyweight wrestler but also releases it smoothly when you need it. The plastic insert is held in place with Velcro, so you can remove it and use the pouch to carry a small flashlight or a multitool.
There is PALS webbing on the backside of the pouch for different attachment options. Instead of sewing, we used laser-cut webbing for three particular reasons. First of all, it is cheaper, which means that you get a more affordable pouch. Secondly, this way we could eliminate one weak link, the seams from the webbing. And this also resulted in a lighter pouch.
Särmä TST Pistol Magazine Pouches are manufactured by the German MD-textil, which is a family-owned business dedicated to tactical and technical gear. They make gear e.g. for the special dudes of the German army and border guard. They utilize state-of-the-art machines, which are almost as precise as German workers themselves.
They deliver only the best quality and maintain sustainable production, and they work in close co-operation with special forces. The sewing thread, PALS webbing, and the plastic insert are made in Germany. The Velcro is made in Spain.
