Product details
Product description

A very small and handy little Skrama-like bare tang knife, or neck knife if you will. Perfect for all those DIY folks. Make a wicked cool handle from wood or more exotic materials or wrap a simple yet comfortable Paracord handle. Easy to carry and great for all those small tasks that you come across most often. A perfect match for a bigger Skrama or an axe.

Use

This small blade is very easy to take along wherever you might need one. When out in the wilderness, it is good to carry a smaller knife for all those more detailed tasks and a large Skrama or axe for heavy-duty stuff. It is also wise to carry a spare knife in case you manage to lose the primary tool. This is also perfect for opening packages, peeling oranges, whittling this and that, and any other common tasks at home. And one of these could also be nice in the toolbox of your car.

Blade

Just like our other Skramas, this knife has a sheepsfoot blade profile, and the spine is ground and beveled to strike sparks from ferro rods. You will be thankful for this when your clothes and matches are wet, the sky is falling, and you need a warming fire.

I bought one of these some years when they lacked the lanyard hole. I was experimenting with putting stick tang puukkos and other knives, and decided this would be a fun one to do as a full tang. I used curly birch burl and scrimshawed some rune stuff on one side, and my name as a bindrune mirrored and flipped on the other (my paternal half of the family is from Norway, some are still citizens of that country). I finished it with a colonial red stain and used gun stock finish for the outer coat. The idea was to use a more traditional sheath, but an idea was given to me to make one that sat along the front of the pants horizontal like. So, I cooked up a sheath design and tried it. Since then I have carried this knife every day in the woods, around town, and at my job (I work in an offshoot of the construction and demolition industry). I feel literally naked without it. I've used it to pry things off within reason, cut heavy poly sheeting, cut wood for all sorts of reasons, build fires, for cutting food, and butcher wild game. I have worn off the black finish from manufacturing. I have refinished the handle three times. What an excellent steel! I constantly use a small sharpening setup to keep it honed. It doesn't perform like some ninja knife using crazy steels or whatever tactical stuff is out there. What it does do is perform reliably and well for anything that I need it for. If I was stranded alone in some remote wilderness, I would be psychologically and physically relieved to have this knife on me with a little sharpener. When I saw they added lanyard hole, I see they haven't changed anything but that, a great working blade! I highly recommend this blade for anyone curious about it. I will be ordering more at some point. And if they made this one well, my next one may be their blade only puukko. I would like to add photos of mine on here somehow.... https://ibb.co/ySMGwSh https://ibb.co/9NhGQLt https://ibb.co/JrrqyS9 https://ibb.co/HHDkgmw Thanks for such a wonderous product!

Once again great value knives, as all Terävä knives are. Except I like this one more. I'm not a Jääkäripuukko kind of guy, I find it too big for small tasks, and too small for big tasks. I like to combine big choppers with tiny utility knives, and combining the tiny Skrama 80 with the big Skrama 240 is just perfect. Made thin micarta scales to maintain a low profile, and I'm in the process of making kydex sheaths for these babies. I may be Skramasexual.
