This is an excellent jacket. The construction is reminiscent of the Swedish m90 jacket but is longer at the back and is made of a different fabric. I am 176cm tall and weigh around 80kg with a chest measurement of 98cm. I bought both medium-regular and small-regular and both fits but depending on the size on how much space you prefer to have over. Even in small-regular, I can fit a thick sweater underneath with a little room to spare. As others have written before, the jacket is bigger then the marked size. The jacket has no lining. But instead it's designed to accommodate several layers underneath in winter. Someone has written that the jacket can handle water well, nothing I have tested. It is probably impregnated by the bundesheer. It is made of polyester and cotton, which probably increases the water tightness somewhat. Other than that, both my jackets were in very good condition, one made in 2008, the other in 2013. The one from 2013 looks brand new.

(Update at bottom) I should have read the reviews first. This is a great jacket but large. I ordered the same size (104-108 V-VI or "Large Long") as the 03 Anzug Summer Field Blouse (which fits me to a T). I hoped this version in the same size would also be a perfect fit. Nope. In New York, they'd say this is "yuge." I am 6’2” (188 cm) tall and weigh 180 lbs (82 kg or almost 13 stone) and usually wear a size 42 Long or 44 regular jacket. I can wear this jacket with a heavy Swiss army surplus sweater underneath and still have room left. The length is good. I waited over 6 months for these to be restocked in Large Long, and I may have to wait another six months for Medium Long to arrive again. If I do, I think it will be worth the wait. I can use this one with multiple layers underneath in the meantime. I was surprised at how heavy-duty this jacket is. It has large chest pockets, so it will be great to wear while wearing a ruck. Yesterday my patience in waiting months for one in size medium-long was rewarded. It fits much better than the large-long I ordered last time, so I can wear this without a heavy layers underneath. These are a bargain for the price. I've yet to wear this in the rain, but I'll report back when I do.
