Hey sailor! Stop fooling around with that shipmate and look here. The German navy realized they could actually put a zipper on the classic duffel bag. An hell, while they're at it, they put a pair of backpack straps on in too! The material is of course kept as traditional heavy canvas, so none of that Nylon nonsense.
This is kinda like a crossover of a traditional duffel bag and a transport bag, or if you want to make it a bit less glamorous, it's a transport bag with no carry handles nor dividers nor extra pockets. Of course, it's entirely possible to carry the bag in hand using the shoulder straps and then swinging it in one smooth motion on your back when needed. When the time comes to grope the contents, simply rip the zipper open and stick your hand in the sweet embrace of canvas.
The buckles and hooks are all aluminum for durability in maritime use without rusting. They are also lightweight, although the bag isn't really a weight weenie's choice.
In used but serviceable condition. And by 'serviceable' we mean the utility of the bag will probably not worsen for a couple of generations to come. Occasionally, these might have names of the previous owners written on them, so you can add yours below it to carry on the legacy, or get mistaken for his lover and/or bottom. In any case, it's bound to be a fun story.
The colors may vary, most of these are green but there are some Steingrau-Oliv gray-greens in the mix.
