This buckleless black belt can be used as an underbelt that makes putting on the shooter's belt super-easy. No need to remove any gear and everything stays where it’s supposed to be. Flip it over, and you will have a very durable pant belt.

Officially this is the Model 99 Buckleless Reversible Duty Belt by Safariland. As the name might indicate, the belt has a hook and loop closure instead of a buckle. One side is lined with loop material, and the other side is made from a tough synthetic material known as Safarilaminate.
You can use this belt in two ways. The smoother side up it functions as an ordinary pant belt. Flip the fuzzy side up, and you have an underbelt on top of which you stick the hook-lined Shooter’s Belt.
Underbelts solve the problem of not being able to put your actual equipment belt through your belt loops because of all the pouches and holsters. Having the belt go through the belt loops is a requirement in some dynamic shooting sports and is generally a good idea to prevent your gear from shifting around and the belt rising when you grab something. All your gear remains in their correct places all the time.
This belt has been made in several sizes, but this batch didn’t include them all. You can find the important measurements in the chart below. The total length is measured from the tip to the tail. The other measurement is the length of the hook-lined area found on the tip of the smoother side with which the tip attaches to the loop side. All the belts are 38 mm (1.5") wide.
Belt Size | Total length | Hook-lined tip |
---|---|---|
X-Small | 102 cm (40") | 16,5 cm (6.5") |
Large | 127 cm (50") | 16,5 cm (6.5") |
X-Large | 137 cm (54") | 16,5 cm (6.5") |
Unused NOS surplus. Still in the original packaging. We managed to find a batch of Safariland New Old Stock stuff and grabbed it all. NOS is gear that, for one reason or another, never ended up in the final destination. Instead, it was abandoned in some warehouse, where we rescued it for you to enjoy.
