The Swiss army fur hat may not look like it belongs in the mud and misery of battlefields, but it sure does have that easily approachable feel to it. And hey, it's Swiss, so the quality has to be super, right?
Did you know the Swiss are the masters of camouflage? They actually constructed lookalike barns, houses and big rocks that, in reality, were hidden positions for huge bloody artillery pieces and such. We suspect this hat is just an extension of this plan - anyone caught wearing this would never be mistaken for a soldier, even if he has a full camouflage outfit, an assault rifle and yells out commands in German!
In all reality, the hat is made of high quality materials and is very practical, too: the outside is grayish blue wool fabric, with fake fur flaps and cotton lining on the inside. The flaps can naturally be fastened under the chin. In addition, the flap you see on the forehead can also be folded down to protect the eyes, and inhibit your vision.
In used, but OK serviceable condition.
