Organize your gear! The Rigid PALS Panel enables a ready setup of pouches and accessories, which can be easily pulled out of a backpack or bag and accessed conveniently. This allows for easy swapping of the contents of your backpack as needed, without separate items rolling around in disarray. The Rigid PALS Panel can also be attached inside a vehicle or used as a back panel for a plate carrier.
This is an all-around updated version of the previous Semi-Rigid Insert – the panel now has more versatile attachments and is made from space-age Curv Tactical™ material.
All pouches and accessories depicted in the images are sold separately.
The Rigid PALS Panel provides a platform measuring 235 x 375 mm / 9.3" x 14.8" for attaching equipment. There are five columns for PALS webbing, but as far as rows go, it's a bit more complex because the grid of the panel is designed to accommodate horizontal attachment of pouches as well – see the pictures! At least MOLLE pouches sized 3x3 or smaller fit horizontally.
The panel has plenty of 4.5 mm holes for weaving elastic cords and two openings in the middle of the edges for 25mm straps or hook and loop tape. The panel can be cut with scissors if needed to fit into a smaller bag – but it fits, for example, our CP10 and CP15 combat packs as is.
There is a handle-like opening at both the top and bottom for easier handling or hanging (if you choose to use them as handles). If you assemble multiple panels with different setups, the handle opening is a good place to wrap colored tape for easy identification.
With these panels, you are ready for various mission types without wasting time moving separate pouches and items in and out of your kit.
The most obvious use is setting up the panel with the items you need for a certain mission type, such as grenade pouches, magazine pouches, and similar items. The setup can then be attached as a back panel to a plate carrier or carried as a minimalist backpack by attaching shoulder straps (sold separately). The panel is also suitable for a first aid kit larger than an IFAK or other items necessary in less of a military-type emergency situations: safety vest, flashlight, batteries, etc. The panel can also be used for switching gear from one backpack to another as a single module or creating multiple different panels for one preferred backpack. This way, you are ready for various situations without wasting time moving separate pouches and items in and out of your kit.
Yes, this is made in Finland by CPE.
