Before the era of modern multi-tools, "Swiss Army Knives" made by Victorinox were the bee’s knees. Just ask MacGyver! Well, this thing here is not a multifunctional pocket knife – this is a sturdy, simple, and stylish folding knife with nice Alox scales on the sides.
The Victorinox Evoke BS Alox is a properly sized folding knife for all kinds of slicing and carving. It is a minimalist folding knife for those who don't need corkscrews or some sort of telescopic flamethrowing Torx-wrench-endoscopes in their knives. The focus is on the essentials: The blade has a removable thumb stud for opening, and the knife comes with a detachable belt clip. That’s about it. It can be carried in a pocket if the pocket is relatively large.
The steel parts are made of martensitic stainless steel, and the sides are punched aluminum with AlOx treatment. The folding knife's blade locks in place and is released by pressing the backside opening lever. By using the thumb stud, the knife can be opened with one hand.
The dimensions of the folding knife are 136 x 18 mm (when folded), and it weighs 180 grams. This is not a tiny pocket knife.
However, if you need a pocket knife with various functions such as a corkscrew, saw, and scissors, check out the classic red-sided Victorinox Ranger!
